After we walked the Lower Cascades Walk, we had a quick stop at Tolmel Falls (not very impressive in the dry season) before we headed to Florence Falls.
Tolmer Falls cascades over high escarpments into a deep plunge pool. In the cave at the base of the Falls live rare orange horseshoe bats and endangered ghost bats, so this thin, ribbon like waterfall can only be viewed at a distance, from a platform at the end of the walkway.
There is a short walk near the Tolmer Falls, but as it was too hot for walking, we decided not to do it and went to Florence Falls to chill out.
That is all for the Litchfield National Park. Please note that there are some 4WD tracks, but most of them were closed during our visit. As for us, we headed further - to the Nitmiluk National Park.
