One day in Sydney (Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Manly, Opera House) 03.03.2014

It is really hard to say do I like Sydney or not.... It does NOT look like as Melbourne, the city, which I really love and adore, it is completely different! Streets are not so wide, a lot of people and so much noise... On the other hand, Sydney's City is beautiful, ferries are the best transport in the world and flowers.... so many flowers with fantastic smell!

White sands of Jervis Bay 28.02.2014

Our goal for today is to reach Sydney. We stopped in Bega and had some cheddars at the Bega Cheese Factory.

Our next stop was at Hyams Beach, Jervis Bay. This was one of the highlights of our trip. The sand is pure white you wouldn't believe it's real and the water is green and light blue. I could stay at that place forever.

Eden - Killer Whale Museum, Twofold Bay 27.02.2014

We went to Eden from Merimbula and spent more than 3 hours exploring the Eden Killer Whale Museum. The museum was originally built to house the skeleton of the orca "Old Tom" and tell its story. The local historical society is based at the museum, where it displays and houses between five and ten thousand items, focusing on the Australian whaling industry, general maritime and fishing artefacts, the timber industry, and local social history

Merimbula - Merimbula Lake, Merimbula Main Beach 26.02.2014

Hello, New South Wales! Nice to 'meet' you! :) When we planned our trip, we thought that there will be a 'border' between two states, but actually we didn't notice where we crossed it. It was almost 8pm, when we got a call from the motel asking us when we are going to arrive. Well, we were in the middle of nowhere (actually, we were somewhere between Pambula and Eden, but still it was far away from Merimbula), so we arrived at 9pm.

Lakes Entrance (Flagstaff Lookout) 26.02.2014

After visiting Raymond Island, we went to Lakes Entrance. Lakes Entrance is a very popular all year round holiday destination, including during winter months when the climate is often a few degrees warmer than Melbourne.

If you live in Melbourne and would like to visit Sydney, then you have following options:

1) Fly there by plane

2) Drive by car via a) Hume HWY or b) Princess HWY

As our goal was to see as much as we could, we chose plan B :)

Phillip Island Wildlife Park 24.02.2014

By the time when I am writing this article, I've already visited Melbourne Zoo (twice), Healsville Sanctuary (three times), Werribee Open Range Zoo and Ballarat Wildlife Park, so I am not a newbie at the "Australian" zoo. Phillip Island Wildlife Park is my favourite one. I think this is a best wildlife park to visit if you have kids or guests from overseas and would like to show them australian animals and do not spend a fortune for feeding them (like in Healsville Sanctuary). You can feed kangaroos, wombats, see koalas, emus, Tasmanian devils, dingos and much more!

SkyHigh Mount Dandenong 24.02.2014

Last Saturday we went to the Dandenong Ranges. The Dandenong Ranges (commonly just the Dandenongs) are a set of low mountain ranges, rising to 633 metres at Mount Dandenong, approximately 35 km east of Melbourne.
